Kwetu Film Institute (KFI) Jobs

Location: Rwanda

The Kwetu Film Institute (KFI) is a Film and general Media Arts Institute that is set to open its doors in Kigali, Rwanda in the near future.

They seek to recruit a self-motivated and experienced person that will manage the project from the planning phase up until the school opens as:

Project Manager

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Management/ Administration or a combination of academic qualifications with substantial project management experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
  • Specialized professional training in project management or other internationally recognized project management certifications.
  • Fully proficient computer skills and use of software and applications customized for project management such as Microsoft Project or others.
  • Experience and interest in the Education sector and or Media/ Film/Television.
  • Five years experience of project/programme management and administration.
  • Working experience in a Great Lakes Region country can be an asset.
  • Proven track record of analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and co-ordination skills with sound team management.
  • Ability to work under pressure on multiple activities concurrently through tight deadlines.
  • Ability to participate effectively in a team based, information sharing environment.
  • Fluent in English, a working knowledge in French will be an advantage but not mandatory; Good English drafting skills.

    Deliverables:

    By the end of the contracting period, the Programme Manager will have delivered the following:

    1. Overseen the completion of the KWETU Film Institute building by local contractors.

    2. Coordination of the various teams involved in creating an academic, administrative, and marketing/communications campaign for the school.

    3. A high quality investors/donor report in advance of submission due dates detailing activities implemented, project outputs, expenditures and reporting on indicators as per the logical framework amended to the project document.
