Kibodo Trust Jobs

Location: Kiunga, Kenya.

Kibodo Trust Jobs: Kibodo Trust is a community based organization & development initiative situated in Kenya’s North Coast.

The Trust encompasses three National Reserves, Kiunga Marine, Boni Forest & Dodori Reserve, & receives funding from a number of sources including Flora & Fauna International, the US Government via USAID, & Tusk Trust.

Kibodo Trust is looking for a suitable candidate to fill the position of:

Chief Executive Officer

Qualifications:

  • At least a higher second or first degree in Environmental Sciences, Wildlife Management, Community Development, Entrepreneurship or Social Sciences with good understanding of the Project Management cycle;
  • At least 5 years experience in community-based management projects with special interest in environmental conservation & poverty reduction issues;
  • Excellent community mobilization & organizational skills;
  • A good understanding of the local context/issues particularly relating to environmental & poverty concerns;
  • Good communication & inter-personal skills;
  • Computer literate with good technical report writing skills;
  • Able to work with minimum supervision;
  • Basic accounting, book keeping skills will also be an advantage;
  • The ability to participate in strategy development, manage implementation of the projects & work independently;
  • Excellent written & verbal communication in English & Kiswahili, & experience of liaison with parastatal / government entities such as KWS, Forestry or Fisheries Services will be an advantage.
