Applications are invited to fill positions of Professor, Associate Professor, Senior Lecturer, Lecturer and Assistant Lecturer/Tutorial Fellows in the following:
School of Computer and Information Technology
School of Business and Management
Faculty of Science (Mathematics)
1. Professor
Qualifications:
PhD degree holders or its equivalent with at least 10 years of University teaching experience or demonstrate comparable professional experience.
Have 5 articles in refereed journal or a book in the area of specialization since becoming Associate Professor.
Show evidence of continuing research, publications, effective teaching, participation in seminars and conferences and ability to supervise students.
2. Associate Professor
Qualifications:
PhD degree holders or its equivalent with a minimum of four years at the senior lecturer level or at least 8 years of teaching and research experience since becoming senior lecturer/research fellow.
Have 5 publications in refereed journals or a book in the area of specialization since becoming senior lecturer.
3. Senior Lecturer
Qualifications:
PhD degree or its equivalent from a recognized University.
Have at least four years teaching experience since becoming lecturer/research fellow.
He/She should have at least four publications in refereed journals.
4. Lecturer
Qualifications:
PhD degree or a Masters degree from a recognized university.
Should have at least two years of University teaching or demonstrate comparable professional experience.
Demonstrate classroom skills as evidenced by student evaluation and peer views.
Published at least two articles in refereed journal. Demonstrate ability to supervise students.
5. Assistant Lecturer/Tutorial Fellow
Qualifications:
Masters degree from a recognized university. Must have a first degree in a related field.
Should demonstrate potential for university teaching and/or research.
At least one year post qualification experience in teaching at university level will be an added advantage.
Published at least two articles in refereed journal. Demonstrate ability to supervise students.
