Kenya Youth Empowerment Project

Call for Youth to participate in Cycle 2 of the Private Sector Based Training and Internship Program

For Placement in Nairobi and Mombasa Only

To be eligible, applicants must:

Be between 15 and 29 years of age;

Have a minimum of 8 years of schooling;

Have been out of school for a minimum of one year;

Not currently working or schooling;

Be of Kenyan nationality;

Not have been selected in cycle 1

Youth who meet the above eligibility criteria and are interested are invited to apply.

Application forms are available in the following ways:

Downloading and filling in a hard copy from the KEPSA website (www.kepsa.or.ke) or the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports (MOYAS) website (www.youthaffairs.go.ke)

Accessing and filling in an online application form which is to be found on the KEPSA (www.kepsa.or.ke) and MOYAS (www.youthaffairs.go.ke) websites

Collecting and filling in a hard copy of the application form available from every

District Youth Office in Nairobi and Mombasa counties ONLY

Submission of completed application forms may be done in the following ways:

Online applications will be electronically submitted at the click of a button

Scanning and emailing hard copies of the application through kyep-nrbapplications [at] kepsa.or.ke for youth who wish to be placed in Nairobi and kyep-msaapplications [at] kepsa.or.ke for youth who wish to be placed in Mombasa

Dropping the forms at any District Youth Office in Nairobi or Mombasa counties

Posting the forms to

The deadline for receipt of applications is 25th May 2012.

Please note that only the successful applicants will be contacted.

No hand delivered forms will be accepted at KEPSA offices or MOYAS head office

Interested candidates who meet the requirements above are requested to submit their detailed CVs along with a letter motivating their interest in the position to: The Human Resources Officer, Kenya Private Sector Alliance, P.O Box 3556 - 00100, Nairobi or E-mail: kyep [at] kepsa.or.ke, indicating the post reference number; and providing details of current remuneration, and the names and addresses of at least three (3) referees, not later than 3rd August.

Please consider your application to be unsuccessful if you have not been contacted within four weeks of the closing date.
