Junior Lecturer in Organisational Psychology

Rhodes University invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the following positions from as early a date as possible.

Successful candidates will teach at undergraduate and Honours levels in some of the following areas: Consumer Psychology, Organisational Theory, Organisational Development, Human Resources, Workplace relations, Workplace diversity, Systemic Theory, Research Design, and Assessment.

In addition, successful candidates will supervise Honours research projects and will take on administrative duties in the form of co-ordinating courses.

Successful candidates at a senior level will play an active role in the Organisational Psychology Masters course, teaching modules, and supervising practice and research.

Minimum qualifications are:

  • Honours degree at the Junior Lecturer level,
  • Masters and registration with the Professional Board for Psychology as an Industrial Psychologist at the Lecturer level, and
  • PhD and registration as an Industrial Psychologist at the Senior Lecturer level. The successful candidate at the Junior Lecturer level will be expected to register for a Masters in Organisational Psychology.

    A reduced teaching load may be arranged in order to support him/her in his/her studies.
