Islamic Relief Vacancies: Islamic Relief is an international relief and development charity, which aims to alleviate the suffering of the world's poorest people.

The international humanitarian organisation is currently recruiting for:

1. Country Director

Requirements:

We are currently recruiting for Country Director to be based in Niamey, Niger who will assume overall responsibility for managing IRW’s offices in the country.

These include delivering effective programmes according to the Country Programmes and Regional Strategies, outlining resource requirements of the programme, and periodically reassessing the programme to meet its short & long term needs.

The core responsibility of the job will be to strengthen IRW’s visibility and to ensure that all programme activities are implemented, monitored and evaluated in a timely manner and in line with IRW’s strategic parameters.

The Country Director will also be responsible for managing an in-country team of international and local staff, and risk management ensuring compliance and quality improvement of the country programme. In addition, reviewing and reporting on the progress and finances to the International Office in Birmingham and to project donors.

1. Finance and Administration Managers (x3)

Requirements:

We are currently have vacancies for three Finance and Administration Managers based in either N’djamena or Salamat Region, the post holders will be responsible to manage and oversee the national finance, administration and human resources functions and staff, together with the effective control of all financial matters ensuring reporting and compliance with the donors and Islamic Relief Worldwide financial guidelines.

The job holders will be accountable for maintaining the accounting records and supporting documentation for all financial transactions are systematically in order, safe and secure.

He(She) will provide timely project related financial reports for IRW International Office and institutional donors. The post holder will be assisted by a team of finance staff and also working and liaising with the Programme Manager, Country Director and the IRW Finance Department and Africa Desk.
