It is currently accepting expressions of interest from potential candidates in a prospective USAID-funded project for the following positions:
1. Project Director – REF/PD/04/2010
Qualifications and Experience:
Master’s in international health, social sciences, health or related discipline preferably with a medical degree.
At least 10 years professional experience , which will include broad based knowledge of HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment programs e.g.( ABC, PMTCT, ARV, VCT and Palliative care) with proven customer-service management.
Proven ability to work within budget and financial reports in an accurate and timely fashion with ability to develop and work within approved work-plans.
Demonstrated experience to direct and manage a team, work with partners, USAID and headquarters staff.
Computer literacy in Excel, Word and Power Point.
Willingness to travel 25% within the country and periodically internationally.
2. Deputy project Director – REF/DPD/04/2010
Qualifications and Experience:
A master’s degree in public health, social sciences, or related disciplines.
Minimum six years professional experience managing complex activities involving coordination with multiple government, donor and implementing partners.
Experience e working with USAID and strong familiarity with PEPFAR and other USG initiatives, as well as considerable experience e working with the government.
Demonstrated capabilities and high-level expertise in HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment programs e.g.( ABC, PMTCT, ARV, VCT and Palliative care).
Ability to build networks, influence with effective listening, strong communication, persuasion, negotiations and other skills to ensure a positive approach.
Computer literacy in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Ability to effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
3. Monitoring and Evaluation Advisor – REF/MEA/04/2010
Qualifications and Experience:
A master’s degree in public health, epidemiology, demographics or related a technical field.
Minimum of five years of experience in monitoring, designing and implementing programs in health and/or HIV/AIDS programs.
Familiarity and experience with USAID/PEPFAR reporting regulations an drequirements.
Demonstration applied skills in designing M&E activities and formative or operations research for HRH or related programs.
Strong skills in quantitative date analysis and date management as well as demonstrated analytical skills and experience in identifying and evaluating best practices and state-of-the-art-approaches.
Excellent writing and organization skills for reporting on programs and study result with proficiency in statistical databases.
Computer literacy in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Kiswahili.
4. Finance Manager
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in finance or administration or related field. Professional qualification in CPA or ACCA will be an advantage.
Minimum 5 years working experience in financial management.
Extensive knowledge of US and Kenyan government laws and regulations with working knowledge of donor funded international organizations.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in team based environment, supervise a professional team and ability to interact with a variety of technical, clinical and other specialists.
In depth knowledge in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel and accounting software, preferably QuickBooks.
Proficiency using online financial systems databases with an international auditing firm experience.
