Qualifications:
A University Degree in Graphic Design, Communications, Publishing, Public Relations or the equivalent combination of education and experience in the related area.
Applicants must have at least a 2 year working experience using the Mac Operating System and its Desktop Publishing applications (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Indesign) is mandatory.
Proven to have effective written and oral communications skills.
A Team player, service-minded and able to work long hours.
Ability to meet deadlines and to manage multiple priorities with minimum supervision.
Strive to raise awareness and increase understanding of the need for better breast health by reading on various studies and current updates in the related area.
Displays cultural, gender, religion and age sensitivity and adaptability.
Approaches work with energy and a positive, constructive attitude.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Produce advocacy and communications materials (including Newsletters, Brochures, Posters, Banners, Print ads and Photographs). A basic understanding of the printing process will be an added advantage.
Manage the website by regularly updating information and vet all information posted publicly, both in design and content.
Monitor the organizations publicity profile while keeping records of the same.
Facilitate and play a lead role in the implementation of the KBHP communication strategies for the diverse population.
Issue press statements and background briefings for local and international media and tracking how that information is reflected in media reports as well as correcting misinformation as required.
