INFORMACTION, a social justice NGO, is looking for young people with a demonstrated commitment to social justice issues to train as videographers.
Recruitment will take place in all Provinces, for a 3- week training program in basic film making techniques.
The training will take place in Nairobi from the 19th September to 7th October.
This is a unique opportunity for people who can work independently and creatively on social justice issues, with a mature and committed outlook, who want to make a difference from a local perspective.
Training will teach candidates:
To gather video footage suitable for film, internet and mainstream media
Film production process from research, planning, budgeting, shooting and editing
Workshop on human rights and topical social justice issues
You will need to demonstrate
Proven interest in information gathering, film production and awareness of key national and local social justice issues
Be a resident in the province you are applying from
Provide 3 credible referees
Ability to write and speak fluently in English and Kiswahili
Must be trustworthy and capable of working independently, as well able to work productively in a team environment.
Commitment to meeting production deadlines and demonstrating accurate budgeting skills is essential.
Available from 19th September for training and immediate deployment
