ICOPA XII Travel Grant

The XIIth International Congress of Parasitology (ICOPA) will be held in Melbourne, Australia, from 15 - 20th August at the new Exhibition and Convention Centre.

All are invited to join the parasitology community at this exceptional facility that lies in the heart of Melbourne in close proximity to the scenic Yarra River and the associated parks, multicultural restaurants, cafes and bars.

The committee will have a number of travel grants available for delegates (final number subject to support levels from sponsors).

Eligibility:

Submit an abstract for the conference

If a student nearing completion of studies, provide a signed letter of referral from your supervisor.

If a postdoctoral fellow, provide a letter of referral on your organisational letterhead.

Must have at least one refereed publication from a relevant research area published in a peer-reviewed journal.

Be able to obtain a visa for travel to Australia (priority will be given for those who already have a visa, if evidence of the visa is provided at the time of submission).

Preference will be given to applicants that result in an increase the number of countries represented at ICOPA.

National Parasitology Societies can support applications by their members with a letter of reference to the Award Committee.

Preference will be given to practising scientists from developing countries.
