Grants are short term, valid for one year with a possible extension to two years maximum.

Criteria

In setting priorities for funding, the committee will consider the following:

  • schools that provide access to a significant proportion of students from low and middle income countries.

  • state schools in high income countries that operate in areas of significant social challenge.

    Applications

Applications in 2008 close on the following dates:

  • 15 February 2008 for grants in 2008

  • 27 June 2008 for grants in 2008

  • 31 October 2008 for grants in 2008-2009

The application form [96 kb, Word] should be completed and emailed to Celia (ibhq[at]ibo.org) Arcos at IB Geneva.

Please address any queries to the deputy director general, Dr Ian Hill, who is responsible for the administration of the IB bursary fund. Both can be contacted by email at ibhq[at]ibo.org
