With experience of emergency and development work, you’ll have a sensitive and mature understanding of the humanitarian situations and challenges created by conflicts, a strong analytical ability, and a track record in lobbying and advocacy (where you will have influenced governments and other organisations through representation).
You may have a background in academic field research. You’ll be able to think strategically and be a good communicator and diplomat.
Fluency in English and French will be highly desirable.
You’ll be a team worker, but also require a low level of supervision, and be able to travel 10 – 12 weeks per year.
If you also speak other languages such as Kiswahilli or Lingala, it would be an advantage.
