Hilfswerk Austria, seeks to fill the following vacancies in Tripoli, Libya.

1. International Project Manager - Libya

Qualifications and skills

  • A university graduate with a Bachelor´s degree in economics, social sciences, medicine, psychology or administrative sciences
  • Proven and strong project management skills
  • Excellent command of English (speaking, reading, writing)
  • Arabic language will be an asset
  • Full computer literacy
  • A post-graduate degree will be an asset
  • Strong intercultural skills / Experience of establishing
  • strong working relationships with colleagues from different cultures

    Professional experience

  • At least 5 years of professional experience
  • Experience as a team leader in at least 1 international project
  • At least 3 years of experience in medical, psycho-social and/or capacity building/training-projects

    2. International Medical Team Leader

    Qualifications and skills

  • A university graduate with a Bachelor´s degree in medicine or equivalent
  • Specialization in psychiatry or pediatrics
  • Arabic language (speaking, reading writing) and good command of English
  • Full computer literacy
  • Strong intercultural skills / Experience of establishing
  • Strong working relationships with colleagues from different cultures

    Professional experience

  • At least 10 years of professional experience
  • Experience in at least 1 international project
  • At least 5 years of experience in medical projects, including training activities
  • Experience in psycho-social and/or capacity building/training-projects will be an asset

    3. Physicians / psychologists / nurses / paramedic personnel - Libya

    Responsibilities:

  • To identify children and adolescents in Libya, suffering from mental health problems, mainly due to the consequences of the crisis of the last months
  • To screen beneficiaries and identify the most suitable therapeutic treatment
  • To consult and treat beneficiaries
  • To specify therapeutic methods in the centre and set up a know how mechanism in cooperation with International Expert Team
  • To train volunteers
  • To set up cooperation with hospitals and participate in local/international stakeholder meetings
  • To implement documentation, evaluation and reporting activities
  • To prepare and keep up with work plans and schedules for the implementation of the project

    4. Social workers / social pedagogues / art therapists

    Responsibilities:

  • To reach out to communities in Tripoli to carry out awareness raising about war traumata and the activities of the psycho-social centre
  • To organize workshops and recreational activities, events & trips
  • To interview, consult and support clients in different issues
  • To recruit and train volunteers
  • To cooperate with educational, cultural and administrative facilities
  • To promote sustainability of psycho-social center in communities
  • To implement documentation, evaluation and reporting activities
  • To prepare and keep up with work plans and schedules for the implementation of the project

    Qualifications and skills concerning Social workers and Physicians:

  • A university graduate with a Bachelor´s degree or any other equivalent qualification in the particular discipline, post-graduate degree will be an asset
  • Excellent command of Arabic, good command of English would be an asset
  • Full computer literacy
  • Strong intercultural and organizational skills
  • Able to work autonomously and in a multidisciplinary team
  • At least 1 year of relevant professional experience
  • Working experience with children/adolescents and war traumatized clients would be an asset
  • Libyan nationality would be an asset
