Head of mission
The Comité d’Aide Médicale (CAM) was established in 1990 and is a non-profit humanitarian organization whose mandate is to provide medical and related programs to communities affected by conflict, natural disasters and other humanitarian crises.
Comité d’Aide Médicale implements its programs within post-crisis settings with the aim of supporting communities to move from crisis to development.
At least 3 years field experience managing humanitarian or development programs with an international NGO (previous Head of Mission experience highly desirable).
Proof of a relevant university diploma will be required in order to obtain a visa to work in Sudan.
Excellent team leadership, organisational and managerial skills.
Experience undertaking field assessments and exploratory missions.
Knowledge of fund accounting, procurement and financial management of key donor agencies.
Demonstrated understanding of and experience with NGO security management issues and security guidelines.
Prior experience living and working in insecure and difficult environments.
Skills and experience in project/program monitoring review and evaluation.
Good interpersonal skills, ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels.
Solid experience in grant management, including budgeting and donor reporting.
Ability to produce successful project proposals and high quality reports.
Fluency in written and spoken English. Arabic would be an advantage.
Additional technical expertise in a sector of relevance (i.e. health, watsan, psychosocial programs, logistics.) is a plus.
Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Outlook).
Strong humanitarian motivation.
Capacity to work professionally and autonomously.
Strong analytical and coordination skills.
Capacity to prioritize and to work under pressure.
Good sense of humour.
