Human Resource Manager Job in Kenya

AAH-I, an international non-profit making agency that implements health and development projects in Africa seeks to recruit a Human Resource Manager for its programmes implemented in South Sudan, Uganda, Zambia, Kenya and Somalia.

The position will be based in the regional office in Nairobi.

Required Qualifications:

  • A Masters degree in HRM and Strategic management
  • Business Administration Degree
  • Additional training in labour laws
  • At least 5 years experience in a similar or a higher position

    Job objective:

  • Responsible for a diverse workforce within the region, to facilitate the achievement of organizational objectives.
  • Responsible for general methods, procedures, policies and regulations of personnel management and Human resources development programs.

    Expected Service:

  • Managing the Human Resource and Administration functions of the organization in a manner that ensures there is a conducive working environment, a skilled and motivated workforce that facilitates the achievement of the objectives of the organization and that the organization is in compliance with employment legislature in its different countries of operation.
  • Implement a Performance Management System within AAH-I that will provide accountability to all staff and to ensure that this accountability is with reference to the donor project implementation requirements.
  • Ensure that the performance management system focuses on real-time monitoring and evaluating improvements in operational performance at field level in terms of impact, coherence, timeliness, relevance, outcome, effectiveness, efficiency, and sustainability against the stated objectives of the donor. This will inform the objectives and activities of AAH-I at the regional level.
  • Put in place and regularly review and update succession plans that ensure the continuous availability of internal candidates, to fill vacancies within the supervisory and management grades.
  • Develop and manage talent recruitment process, review and assist with salary review processes, and plan and conduct new employee orientation.

    Output:

  • Analysis and report on individual staff performance
  • Result-based performance management planning and assessment tool used
  • The existing job descriptions refined so that they are clear, defined, rational and consistent for each staff.
  • Developed benchmarks and monitoring systems for:

    1. Effectiveness of Coordination Management

    2. Improved identification of need

    3. Enhanced programme planning and implementation

    4. Improved monitoring and information management.


    Human Resource Officer Job in Kenya

    Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide support to line managers and supervisors in understanding and implementing HR policies and procedures.
  • Provide support to line managers, supervisors and staff to develop the skills and capabilities of staff.
  • Managing the company’s induction program for new staff.
  • Coordinate staff recruitment and selection process in order to ensure a timely, organized and objective procedure is used to hire staff.
  • Maintaining employee establishment records.
  • Coordinating the company’s performance management program.
  • Monitoring staff attendance.
  • Preparing and distributing staff handbooks and other HR materials.
  • Implementing and analyzing feedback on employee relations programs and practices as provided for in the company’s Human resource policies.
  • Dealing with employee grievances and coordinating disciplinary procedures as outlined in law and company policies.
  • Overseeing on a day to day basis all administrative activities relating to medical aid, insurance, health & safety, staff retirement benefits, house- keeping and leave administration among others.
  • Provide information and assistance to staff and supervisors on human resource and work related internal issues.
  • Monitor and ensure legal compliance in all aspects of the business including licensing, statutory deductions and payments among others.
  • Any other duty as may be assigned by the management.

    Requirements.

  • Bachelors Degree in Social science, Education or Human resource, Law or equivalent.
  • Must possess Post graduate diploma in Human resource management from a recognized institution.
  • Should be a registered member of the Institute of Human Resource Management.
  • At least 5 years experience as a senior HR officer in a busy and dynamic organization.
  • Must be proficient in HRMIS ( ERP) and Microsoft office applications.

    Human Resource and Administration Manager Job in Kenya

    Job Description

    The Human Resource and Administration Manager will be responsible for coordination of all human resource and administrative services at the Authority.

    Specifically the will be responsible for:

  • Facilitating formulation, implementation and monitoring of human resource management and administration policies, strategies and procedures;
  • Managing staff development and performance management;
  • Strategic human Resources and Administration planning and development
  • Providing administrative guidelines on labor laws, constitutional requirements and any other statutes issued by government from time to time;
  • Managing staff welfare matters;
  • Ensuring prudent utilization of human and physical resources including their security;
  • Managing the Human Resource Management information Systems (HRMIS)
  • Aligning human resource and administration strategy to the overall Transition authority mandate

    Requirements for Appointment

    The candidate must have:

  • Served in at a senior position in the relevant field in the public or private sector for a minimum period of eight (8) years;
  • A Bachelor’s degree ¡n any Social Science from a recognized institution;
  • Masters Degree ¡n any of the following fields: Human Resource Management/Development, Business Administration, Public Administration or any other HR related field from a recognized institution;
  • Certificate in computer applications;
  • Demonstrated managerial, administrative and professional competence Demonstrate a thorough understanding of national goals, policies and development objectives and ability to align them to Authority’s mandate.

    A higher diploma in human resource management and a CPS or its equivalent will be an advantage
