Graduate Assistantships and Fellowships at Purdue University, Indiana, USA
Dept. of Forestry and Natural Resources (FNR), at Purdue University, Indiana, USA has MS and PhD research assistantships and van Eck scholarships for highly
qualified applicants interested in the development of plant tissue culture and genetic modification technologies for fine hardwood tree improvement in the following areas:
1) Reproductive sterility and insect resistance for black cherry;
2) Emerald ash borer resistance of Fraxinus spp.; and
3) In vitro or ex vitro rooting of black walnut.
Candidates should have well developed quantitative skills and knowledge and experience in the biological sciences such as
horticulture, forestry, botany, plant biology, genetics, or plant physiology.
