Google Earth Outreach Grants

International Grants » Non-profit Organizations Grants

Google Earth Outreach supports non-profit organizations that share their mission of community service in areas such as education & culture, environment & science, current affairs, global development, public health and social services.

Eligible non-profits can apply for a grant of Google Earth Pro, Google SketchUp Pro or Maps API Premier.

They are currently accepting applications from eligible charitable organizations based in Africa.

At this time, we're unable to make grants to the following types of groups:

  • Organizations that are religious or political in nature
  • Organizations focused primarily on lobbying for political or policy change
  • Organizations that are pending or do not have a 501(c)(3) status from the IRS

Google reserves the right to award grants to any organization.

Selections are made at Google's sole discretion, and decisions regarding Google Earth Pro grant recipients are final.

Recipients of Google Earth Outreach grants may not use Google Earth Pro, Google SketchUp Pro or Google Maps API Premier in the course of providing a paid service to other companies or organizations.

Please allow up to 3 months for the grants to be awarded.

As a part of Google Earth Outreach, they grant Google Earth Pro licenses to qualifying organizations who demonstrate a need for the advanced features of Google Earth Pro.

The free version of Google Earth has most of the features that non-profits need to create Google Earth layers.
