Job Description: Gbv Project Manager

Country Program: Rwanda

Responsible To: Camp Manager

Supervisory Responsibility: Byumba (Gihembe Camp) And Gituza (Nyabiheke Camp)


  • Graduate degree in public health, social work, counselling or relevant field.
  • Minimum of three years experience in program management (including budgets), with at least one year in a developing country (or an indigenous context) with GBV practice.
  • Experience in Africa and/or a conflict/transitional situation preferred.
  • Proven staff management experience.
  • Experience in developing training curricula and conducting trainings, preferably related to GBV and other sensitive issues.
  • Good working knowledge of RH, especially sexual violence and STI/HIV/AIDS issues.
  • Strong written skills (including proposal writing) and oral communication skills in English and French.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including experience in interagency coordination and donor relations.
  • Familiarity with participatory methodologies.
  • Experience working in insecure environments on politically and culturally sensitive topics.
  • Flexibility and cultural sensitivity.
  • Strong computer skills - MS Word and Excel.
