Key skills: Fluency in English
University degree in social work or other social sciences, public health, community health or a related field.
Knowledge of gender and/or gender-based violence especially pertaining to the situation in Uganda
Previous experience implementing GBV in conflict/post conflict situations, with an International NGO, an added advantage.
Knowledge of reproductive health issues.
Knowledge of service provider structures in Northern Uganda
Familiarity with international standards for GBV programs
Counseling skills and experience
Training skills (at least one year of training experience)
Supervisory and staff management skills
Experience working with IDPs/refugees preferred
Experience in implementing programs and coordination with UN agencies a plus
Diplomacy and assertiveness; the ability to confront and discuss sensitive issues with respect and care
