CARE Österreich
CARE Österreich is an independent Austrian non-governmental humanitarian aid and development organisation and a member of the CARE International network with presence in 71 countries.
CARE Österreich programme sectors are Environment and Development (ED), Social Empowerment (SE) and Emergency and Humanitarian Aid (EHA).
Location: Location in Kenya/Nairobi is tentative; other possible options are: in another country in East Africa (Burundi or Uganda) or Vienna
Required Qualifications
Education: Advanced university degree in Social Sciences or equivalent gender related studies
Experience: 5 years working experience in the field of gender and women´s empowerment Knowledge and Skills:
Excellent understanding of gender issues and women empowerment, knowledge of methodologies for promoting gender equality and women empowerment, experience with gender and power analysis;
able to facilitate a complex learning exercise with aspects of research and knowledge management, networking skills and advocacy experience;
very good communication skills, extensive experience in Monitoring and Evaluation;
training skills, a good understanding on participatory development processes and appreciative inquiry
Language requirements: Fluency in spoken and written English, ability to speak French could be an additional asset
