Ensure effective and efficient financial management of PEA programmes across the region
Ensure the day to day financial transactions of the regional office are processed in an efficient, up-to-date and accurate manner
Advise programme staff on financial matters and establish appropriate policies and procedures for ensuring the compliance with legal and professional standards.
Support management, planning, implementation and monitoring of projects from a financial perspective
Assist programmes in drafting, negotiating and controlling the issuing of contracts for procurement of services and materials.
Ensure appropriate management of cash flow of PEA
Ensure accuracy, timeliness and reliability of financial administration according to procedures of the PEA
Produce monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for the consumption of the PEA management, the Board and donors as appropriate.
Make sure that annual external audit is conducted for the regional and country offices
Oversee and manage the overall Human resources functions of PEA, including recruitment, training and performance management
Maintain accurate registers of assets and property of the projects ensuring their efficient usage, with regular physical verification of the assets
Ensure legal compliance of all contracts entered into by PEA
Perform other related duties assigned by the Regional Director
Qualifications and competencies
Bachelor Degree in Accounting, business Administration, Commerce of Finance with a recognized professional certificate in accounting (CPA or equivalent certification would be preferred
Minimum of 5 years experience as a finance manager, at least three of which are in a credible organization, working across countries
Comfortable making decisions, good supervisory, time management and interpersonal skills
