Job Title: Child Sponsor Relations Officer

Department: Child Development Program (CDP)

Reports To: Programs Manager

Contract Length: 3 Years

Position Location: Marsabit

Application Closing Date: 11th May, 2012 Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Key Result #1 – Manage Child Sponsor Communications and CDP Community Profiles

Duties will include:

  • Learning and implementing FH’s Child-sponsor relations system
  • Enforcing CDP communication policies, ensuring timeliness, accuracy and quality of all the required communications and reports.
  • Coordination of information updates
  • Quarterly verification of child process and monitoring child communication performance.

    Key Result #2 – Train Staff on the established standards of child sponsor communications

    Duties include:

  • To regularly update CDP personnel on their performance in meeting child-sponsor communication deadlines and other communication requirements
  • Monitoring performance and quality of communication and give feedback to staff
  • Establish and update ongoing reference information points on child sponsor requirements

    Qualifications / Experience (Minimum)

  • A strong Christian committed to serving the poor in line with our Vision Mission Values.
  • Diploma holder in communication studies/secretarial studies/information technology or information science or its equivalent from a recognised training institution
  • Proficiency in computer skills is a must
  • Basic knowledge of computer programming will be an added advantage
  • Experience in working with children and NGO experience
  • At least 21 years of age
  • A highly motivated self-starter able to work on own initiative under difficult situations
  • Excellent interpersonal written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to solve problems.
