Evaluation and Research Support Advisor

Location: Nairobi, Kenya.

Concern Worldwide is an Irish-based non-governmental, international, humanitarian organisation dedicated to the reduction of suffering and working towards the ultimate elimination of extreme poverty in the world’s poorest countries.

Purpose: To support Concern Kenya programmes in evaluation and research.

Person specification:

  • Master degree in Nutrition, Health, Epidemiology or related field.

  • Training in ethical principles of research.

  • Training in statistical analysis including bivariate and multivariate techniques and complex survey design and analysis.

  • Experience designing and implementing evaluations and operational research.

  • Experience developing articles for publication.

  • Experience with CMAM in both emergency and development contexts.

  • Experience working in an urban slum environment.

    Desirable:

  • Experience working with government partners, particularly MoH.

  • Teaching/Training experience, particularly training on statistical analysis.

  • Experience working in multi-cultural team.

  • Experience in working in Kenya.

  • Swahili language skills.

  • Working knowledge of SPSS, Stata, SAS, EPIINFO, ENA softwares.
