The ideal candidate has 3+ years overseas experience in humanitarian assistance (field-based) as a manager or coordinator.

Requirements
Essential
3+ years overseas experience in humanitarian assistance (field-based) as a manager or coordinator;
Proven ability and experience in editing and writing skills in English;
Ability to prepare proposals and reports;
Good computer skills;
Experience in liaising with government officials, donors, UN and NGOs;
Good staff management and personnel skills;
Skills in the preparation and management of budgets, and an understanding of field-based financial management;
Graduate qualification in an emergency-related field (e.g. public health, engineering, social sciences) or significant relevant experience;
Willingness and ability to travel regularly, often to insecure environments
Desirable
Relevant Masters qualification (e.g. public health);
Experience of working in situations of transition from emergency to rehabilitation and development;
Experience of capacity building national teams;
Experience of strategic planning;
Experience of implementing livelihoods or public health interventions, or training in these areas;
Experience of negotiation and working with local government and partners;
Proven ability to secure donor funding.
