Diakonia Sweden Jobs: Diakonia is a Swedish organization for international development co-operation founded in 1966 and working with partner organizations in about 32 countries across the world.

Diakonia is looking for qualified candidates to fill the position of:

Programme Officer

Qualifications and Experience:

A bachelor’s degree in sociology or development science or other social sciences

Three (3) years relevant work experience in development work preferably in an international NGO set up directly related to program management.

Should possess relevant experience in terms of technical support to local NGOs, monitoring and evaluations and ability to facilitate trainings, workshops, seminars etc

Knowledge of Diakonia’s thematic areas i.e democracy, human rights, gender, social and economic justice, conflict and justice, and HIV and Aids.

Good interpersonal skills & effective communication both oral & written English.

Attention to details.

Must demonstrate the ability to plan and work under limited supervision.

Analysis & report writing skills & basic financial skills; & budgetary skills.

Preferably experience of EU-projects.
