Developing Countries Partnership Scholarship: The Government of the Republic of Indonesia provides the opportunity for the citizens of South Africa and the Kingdom of Lesotho to pursue their future career by studying for their Master’s Degree in prestigious Indonesian universities, through the Developing Countries Partnership Scholarship (DCPS) of the Republic of Indonesia for the academic year.

The Developing Countries Partnership Scholarship Program is a Master’s Degree program undertaken within three years consisting of one year for the Indonesian Language and Preparatory Programs and two years for the Master’s Program.

Participants can choose their preferred fields of study for the Master’s Program such as Humanities, Science, Agricultural Sciences, Social Science, Engineering, Education and other Multi-disciplinary Studies.

The scholarship covers tuition fees, monthly stipend consisting of the living cost allowance (about R1.000), research allowance (about R300) and books (about R200).

The Government of the Republic of Indonesia also provides a round trip international airfare (economic class) from the international airport of the students’ home country to Jakarta, Indonesia.

The scholarship program requires candidates to be under 36 years of age, have completed an undergraduate study (bachelor’s degree), and be in good health (have a health certificate from recognized medical doctor).

We encourage young people of South Africa and the Kingdom of Lesotho to grab this golden opportunity to join more than 380 alumni of the DCPS Program from 42 countries who have developed their knowledge and career in various fields of work since the inception of the program in 1993.

Currently there are 1 (one) student from South Africa and 2 (two) students from Lesotho who are studying under the scholarship program.
