Significant experience in programmatic and financial management of large ($10mm+/year) donor funded programs, including HR/staff management, administration, and operations’ experience;
In-depth knowledge of international development and HIV, malaria, family planning and maternal child health issues;
Substantial experience in marketing or communications preferred;
Relevant post-graduate degree (MBA, MIA, MPH, etc.) or equivalent experience in related field;
Private sector experience considered a plus;
Exceptional diplomatic skills; team-building experience in a developing country;
Familiarity with USAID, Global Fund, and other members of the international donor community;
Knowledge of PSI systems and procedures an advantage;
Excellent communication and writing skills, fluency in English essential; and
Minimum 2 years developing country work experience.
The successful candidate will be a creative, innovative and strategic thinker, and will have a passion for getting the best out of an experienced senior management team.
Excellent communication, analytical, organizational and change management skills are essential. The candidate will have a strong belief in private sector approaches to development and proven ability to produce results.
A commitment to capacity building is essential, as are demonstrated excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural skills and a willingness to work in a developing country.
The successful candidate will need strong diplomatic and networking skills. He/she will also need to be a self starter, adaptable, patient, and possess a good sense of humor.
