Republic of Kenya through the Public Service Commission seeks to recruit a qualified candidate for the position of Deputy Board Secretary in the office of the Prime Minister, Ministry of State for Public Service.
Qualifications and Requirements:
For Appointment To This Grade, A Candidate Must Have:
Served in the fields of public administration, human resource management or human resource development for at least twenty (20) years, three (3) of which should have been at job group ‘q’ or above in the public service or in a comparable position in the private sector.
A masters degree in either: public administration/public management, human resource management, human resource development, public policy, business administration, or any other related field from a recognized university.
Proficiency in computer applications.
Duties And Responsibilities:
An officer at this level will deputize the secretary/chief executive, permanent public service remuneration review board.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
Preparing board meetings and communicating board decisions.
Planning, organizing, providing leadership and coordinating administrative functions of the board.
Analyzing and compiling Data/information on remuneration matters submitted to the board.
Coordinating and monitoring the board’s performance against its strategic plan and performance contract.
