Location: Democratic Republic of the Congo.
The Country Representative is the senior PSI official in the host country and is responsible for all PSI activities in that country.
The Country Representative represents PSI to government, key stakeholders and donors; directs international staff and host country national staff; develops new business opportunities; ensures contract compliance; manages financial, administrative and logistical resources; prepares and executes budgets, marketing plans and work plans; ensures adherence to PSI minimum standards; and assures the effective implementation of a wide array of programs.
At least nine years of experience in a senior management role at a comparable agency or non-governmental organization with progressive responsibility, directing one or more health service programs in a developing country.
Excellent management skills, including experience managing cross-cultural teams and senior staff.
Experience managing financial, administrative and logistical resources.
Experience developing and executing behavior change communications, marketing campaigns, and/or supply chain management.
Successful fundraising experience, including developing relationships with high-level donors and writing/guiding strong technical proposals in the US or overseas.
Graduate studies in a relevant discipline such as public health, public administration, business administration, economics, or international development.
Fluent French (oral and listening). Excellent English language written and oral skills.
Familiarity with the reporting requirements of donors including the US Government, the Global Fund, and UN agencies.
Knowledge of health service delivery programs in francophone Africa or in post-conflict countries.
