Communications & Outreach Officer - Food Security Analysis Unit (FSAU)
Duty Station: Nairobi with frequent travel to Somalia

The Communications and Outreach Officer is responsible for updating and implementing FSAU’s communications and outreach strategy and for ensuring timely dissemination of all FSAU information in Somalia and to a broad base of stakeholders, including governments, the international aid community and the media.
The Communications and Outreach Officer will work closely with all teams and their managers at FSAU, both technical and operational, both in Nairobi and in the field.
Minimum Qualifications:
University degree in a relevant field
5+ years work experience in communications and outreach, preferably in Africa
5+ years work experience in editing and writing
Fluency in English and Somali, with strong writing skills in both languages
Strong computer skills, including MS Word, MS Power point, with Excel and Indesign experience preferred
Ability and willingness to travel throughout Somalia
