Chief Engineer, UNDP - Kenya

Location: Kenya (Nairobi)

Education: Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture coupled with management background
Experience: 7 to 10 years of relevant work experience in the area of infrastructure project development/design and management in a multi-cultural setting, preferably in complex UN emergency settings;
Experience in quality control and Work certification
Experience in procurement and infrastructure contracting
Excellent negotiation and representation skills and the ability to establish longer-term collaborative ties with people of different background in terms of age, gender, nationality, ethnicity
4 or more years of Project Management responsibilities of similar size and complexity.
IT competencies in Word, Excel, Power Point and internet.
Experience with Atlas ad CAD software will be an asset
Language requirements: Strong written and spoken English skills.
Knowledge of Somali or Arabic is desirable
