MBAs Without Borders is pleased to announce it has partnered with Grassroots Business Fund (http://www.gbfund.org/) in partnership with The K-Rep Development Agency (KDA) to recruit 1 MBA for a challenging and exciting project based in Nairobi, Kenya for a 6 month position, starting April 15th, 2009.
Specifically, the MBA will be responsible for:
Evaluation of Youth Lending Program Portfolio
Review portfolio data and determine trends
Collaborate with KDA staff to improve lending strate
Develop recommendations for implementation of strategy for expansion
Oversight & Evaluation of Youth Technical Assistance Pilot
Collaborate with third-party consultant to develop and implement pilot programs
Identify current KDA data collection tools and methodology
Collaborate with GBF and KDA to design and distribute baseline and endline surveys with target and control groups
Administer and monitor data collection process
Develop recommendations regarding modification of pilot and institution of a longer-term technical assistance program
Work closely with KDA head office, field staff and youth clients
Skills Required for the Position
Interest in the idea that business plays a crucial role in supporting developing countries
Interest or past-experience in Developing Countries; Africa experience ideally
Experience & passion for Business Development & Social Entrepreneurship
Ideal candidate will posses professional experience in Accounting, Finance/Microfinance, and Project Management
Fluency in English required
Ability to work in a physically and mentally challenging environment
