Emma Hamilton-Brown Fund

The Emma Hamilton-Brown Fund is a relatively new fund. Ms Emma Hamilton-Brown died in November 2000. The award has enabled a Ghanian student to come to the UK to commence a one-year masters in Haematology.

Colonel Johnson Fund

The Colonel Johnson Fund provides grants to school children and students in Swaziland. AET provides approximately £8,000 worth of grants each year. Through these funds around sixty pupils are assisted each year with fees, book and uniform costs.

Sithengi Talent Campus

A new bursary programme, funded by the Goethe-Institut, Germany's Cultural Institutes abroad, will help budding film professionals from all over Africa enter the Sithengi Market mix this year.

International Print Exhibition

Dates of exhibition are January 8 through February 18, 2007, after which it is intended that the exhibit will then travel through 2008. Open to all artists worldwide over the age of 18. Entries must be original fine art prints in any printmaking media, including artist books.

International Artists Residency Program - USA

The Kimmel Harding Nelson Center is seeking visual artists, writers, and composers for 2-, 4-, 6-, and 8-wk-long residencies, Jan 1 - Jun 15, 2007.

Kenneth Kirkwood Fund

Kenneth Kirkwood was the first Professor of Race Relations at Oxford and Chairman of AET from 1987-1994. His memorial fund, Kenneth Kirkwood Fund, provides support for students from Southern Africa who encounter financial problems.

The Rex Collings Memorial Fund

The Rex Collings Memorial Fund was set up in 1997 in honour of the former trustee of AET, the Rex Collins fund provides grants to support writing and publishing in Africa.

Andrzejewski Memorial Fund

The Andrzejewski Memorial Fund was established in 1995 in honour of the noted linguist, this fund supports language research and development, journalism, broadcasting and education in the Horn of Africa.

Emergency Small Grants Programme - UK

This provides emergency small grants to students who have come from Africa to study in the UK but run into unexpected financial difficulties in their last few months of study.

National Water Research Institute Fellowships - USA

The National Water Research Institute Fellowships gives up to 15,000$ a year per student to support graduate work (master's or doctoral) related to water resources.
