Senior Teacher or HOD - Physical Education

The Aga Khan Academy, Mombasa is an International Baccalaureate World School which seeks to provide students of all backgrounds from primary to higher secondary with an education of the highest standard in order to prepare them for lives characterised by leadership and service.

The ideal candidate will:

Demonstrate leadership and management skills with initiative, vision and the ability to drive a thriving department to meet the mission of the Academy and the 1B

Demonstrate high personal standards with experience of teaching a wide range of sports, both team and individual and is able to deliver and develop a relevant broad, balanced and differentiated curriculum for students that meets 1B expectations

Teach to a high level of PE across a full age range (Junior and Senior School)

Commitment to contribute to the coaching of at least 3 school teams throughout the school year

Support the educational values of the Academy

Qualifications & Experience:

A Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education

Experience in the International Baccalaureate curriculum or strong enquiry based curriculum.
