African Media Initiative (AMI) Jobs: African Media Initiative (AMI) is designed as a catalyst that acknowledges widely identified constraints in the sector and mobilizes action, partnerships and resources to effectively address them.

The African Media Initiative (AMI) seeks to hire:

1. Director of Communications & Knowledge Management - Kenya

Qualifications:

Minimum of 10 years experience in a similar position in Africa working with media owners and operators from around the continent.

Must have a strong knowledge and experience in media development on the continent.

Clear understanding of the challenges facing the industry.

Must demonstrate a solid track record in delivering pilot projects in view to scale them.

2. Director of Strategy & Programmes - Kenya

Qualifications:

Minimum of 10 years experience in programme management in Africa, preferably in the media development sector.

Must have strong analytical abilities, excellent knowledge.

Experience of the African media industry as well as a good understanding of private sector development.

Must demonstrate an ability to achieve under challenging circumstances including but not limited to hostile audiences.

Closing date: 10 June.
