Request for Expressions of Interest

The African Trade Insurance Agency (ATI) is a multilateral agency whose principal objective is to promote trade and investments in the African Region through providing insurance, reinsurance, co-insurance to cover political and credit risks and other financial products.

The Agency wishes to contract Consultant(s) to provide services in each of the following areas:

Consultancy Services for the Development, Documentation and Implementation of a Business Continuity Plan

The consultant’s main objectives will be to develop, document and implement a comprehensive Business Continuity Plan for the Agency in line with best practices.

The tasks to be performed by the consultant will include, but not limited to the following:

Review of the existing ICT Plan and recommendations by the former Consultant;

Develop and document a comprehensive and holistic Business Continuity Plan that covers all critical business risks;

Formalize a policy for a Business Continuity Plan that encompasses among other things Corporate Continuity, Corporate Crisis Management, Corporate Systems, Corporate Facilities,

Corporate People, recovery strategies, evacuation, transfer of business, etc and any other rescue plans;

Train staff in Business Continuity Plan and implementation.

The Agency now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing either of these services.

Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.).

Consultants may constitute joint-ventures to enhance their chances of qualification.

Consultancy Services to Review the Enterprise Risk Management Framework

The consultant’s main objectives will be to update the risks identification and determine their potential impact.

The tasks to be performed by the consultant will include, but not limited to the following:

Review the risks identified in the risk register of the ERM Framework;

Assess the continued relevance of the Risks in terms of likelihood and magnitude of impact, and determine response strategy;

Identify and propose treatment for new risks;Prepare ERM report;

Training and presentation to the Board, Management and Staff.Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.).
