Africa Summer Research Internships at the Woodrow Wilson Center - Paid Internship
The Africa Program is seeking qualified applicants for its Africa Summer Research Internship program in Washington, DC. Interns will assist the Summer Africanist Doctoral Fellows in their research projects and preparation of Africa-related dissertations. Internship DescriptionInterns will be assigned to work directly with an advanced graduate student working on Africa-related issues. Duties will include: Searching for source material at area institutions and online sources; Analyzing, summarizing and filing research materials; Proofreading and editing written work; Translating key documents from languages of expertise; Office and clerical support.Eligibility Requirements This internship is open to students currently enrolled in a four-year undergraduate institution. Interns should have an interest in Africa, preferably with some academic or experiential background in the continent. He/she should have basic computer skills on a variety of software platforms. Good research skills and an enthusiastic and responsible approach to unsupervised work are strong assets. The internship is paid.
