The MSc ICTs for Development Scholarship scholarship consists of a half fee waiver at the 2008 overseas fee rate, equivalent to £5,500. The award is automatically deducted from the successful student's fee at registration.
African journalists are encouraged to apply for this fellowship, sponsored by the Search for Common Ground (SFCG). Awards of US$300 to US$1,000 are available for recipients.
Batonga is giving girls a secondary school and higher education so they can take the lead in changing Africa. Batonga is granting scholarships, building secondary schools, increasing enrollment, improving teaching standards, providing school supplies, supporting mentor programs, exploring alternative education models and advocating for community awareness of the value of education for girls.
Every year, UNESCO-L’ORÉAL Women in Science Fellowships honour 15 young women researchers in the life sciences. The Fellowships are each worth up to $40,000 and are for a period of up to two years. Candidates can study in any country.
The Mogadishu Fellowship, sponsored by the Reuters Foundation, acknowledges the role African photojournalists have played in the global media. Mogadishu Fellows will spend one term at the University of Cardiff's School of Journalism to undertake individually tailored studies, followed by one or two weeks with the Reuters news pictures desk in London. Applicants must be African nationals under 35. Freelancers are also welcome to apply.
The Dundee Law School will be offering a number of Scrymgeour Scholarships to applicants for its taught and research LLM programmes. Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic merit and financial need and applicants must address these issues in their letter of motivation. The scholarships are specifically for international students including Africa.
The University of Dundee invites applications for LLM Scholarships in Mineral Law and Policy. The award will offer the successful candidate; Payment of academic tuition fees, 12 monthly stipends for living expenses for a single student as well as an arrival allowance and thesis/assignment allowance.
Applications are invited from qualified African students for Ibrahim Shihata Fellowships at University of Dundee. The Fellowships are valued at £4,000 per fellowship. The fellowships are open to full-time students each academic year.
The London School of Economics is pleased to announce 10 Lord Dahrendorf Scholarships for MSc students joining the Department of Finance in October. Each scholarship has a value of £17,352. This new scholarship programme is intended to offer students from developing countries the opportunity to study at London School of Economics.
The LLM Scholarship in Democratic Governance and Rule of Law is a fully-funded, one-year program of study designed for lawyers practicing in the public sector. Students are required to commit to 2 years further public service upon return to their home countries.
These scholarship grants are intended to support local organisations and secondary schools to facilitate the secondary education of poor and needy Kenyan youth. The award is for a maximum period of four years. Continuing students requiring less years are eligible and is subject to continued satisfactory performance by the student.
New Zealand Development Scholarships scheme offers the opportunity to people from developing countries to study in priority sector courses at New Zealand universities. Preference will be given to applicants from disadvantaged communities.
The Shell Centenary Scholarships Fund (SCSF) offers postgraduate students from developing countries the opportunity to study in the United Kingdom and the Netherlands. Each scholarship will cover tuition, accommodation, maintenance cost and a return airfare for the scholarship holder only.
The Elizabeth Neuffer Fellowship provides an opportunity for a woman journalist working in the print, broadcast or Internet media to spend an academic year in a tailored program that combines access to MIT’s Center for International Studies and other Boston-area universities and two media companies, The Boston Globe and The New York Times. A successful applicant will be committed to coverage of human rights and social justice describe how the fellowship will be a transformative experience for her career.
The School proposes to award up to eight Research Scholarships for each academic year, up to a maximum value of £5,000 each, to contribute towards tuition fees and maintenance. These scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic merit and financial need.

The Swedish Institute hereby announces a number of the Guest Scholarship Programme. The scholarships are applied for in global competition and are open to foreign students/researchers who wish to come to Sweden as guest students and who do not intend to settle permanently in Sweden.
This inatiative enables people and communities to fulfill their pontential and improve there life prospects. EABL Foundation recently invested US $ 257,500 to aid in the university education of 14 students across East Africa.
About one-third of scholarship applicants receive financial assistance to participate in SIT Study Abroad programs. Awards generally range from $500 to $5,000. Financial need is a primary consideration for all scholarship decisions.

Each year, Margaret McNamara Memorial Fund Scholarships Grant $11,000 for study in USA and Canada. An applicants must be a national of a developing country that is currently eligible to borrow from the World Bank.
The Native Leadership Scholarship (NLS) program creates educational opportunities for women around the world who are grassroots leaders, organizers and activists demonstrating financial need. Upto 6 Native Leadership scholarships are Valued at $25,000 per year.
The Futuris Foundation offers scholarships for students who are interested in studying and researching the field of Sustainable Housing. Students from developing countries will be considered with priority. The monthly allowance for studying at the University of Antwerp is determined at 850 euros per month. Travel costs (ticket, visa, insurance) can be reimbursed up to a reasonable amount.
The LLM in Human Rights Law Scholarships are for study in Sweden. Each scholarship amounts to 7000 SEK per month during the three semesters. The scholarship furthermore includes a return ticket between the applicant's home country and Sweden.
The International Human Rights Training Program is a three-week participatory training on human rights education conducted around June of every year for human rights educators. The annual three-week training session brings together approximately 120 participants from over 60 countries.
Applicants for the Rotary Peace and Conflicts Scholarships attend a three-month course on conflict resolution and mediation strategies in Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand. Support includes partial or full costs for academic fees, meals, accommodation, return air travel, insurance, course materials and fieldwork expenses.
This scholarship programme is directed at scholars in Africa, engaged in research on the African continent. The Guest Researcher’s scholarship includes a return air-fare (Economy Class), accommodation, a subsistence allowance of SEK (Swedish kronor) 250 (approx. USD 30) a day (maximum SEK 25,000 for 90 days) plus an installation grant of SEK 2,500 (approx. USD 300), a shared office and free photocopying facilities up to a maximum of 1,000 copies.

The Global Development Marketplace competition is searching for early-stage, innovative ideas with potential for high impact in promoting Sustainable Agriculture for Development. A total of US$4 million in awards is available, with a maximum award size of US$200,000 per project.
