Women of any nationality are eligible for the Amelia Earhart Fellowship Program. The Fellowship offers US$6,000 which may be used at any university or college offering accredited post-graduate courses and degrees.

A scholarship fund has been created for African applicants to the Bucerius / WHU Master of Law and Business program at Bucerius Law School in Hamburg, Germany. The Master of Law and Business Scholarships program offers some financial aid to selected students in the form of a partial waiver of tuition.

This competition is aimed at identifying the most innovative approaches to helping a generation of young people around the world fulfill their potential and become healthy, successful adults. Winners receive a cash prize of US $5,000.

Front Line has a small grants program which has been disbursing €150,000 per year to Human Rights Defenders at risk around the world.Grants are given for the specific purpose of strengthening the protection of human rights defenders at risk. Grants are for amounts up to a maximum of €6,000.

Each year Front Line recruits two human rights defenders at risk to take part in a 6 month fellowship and training program based at Front Line's offices in Blackrock. Successful applicants will receive an honorarium of €850 per month for six months together with the use of a single room in a shared apartment in Dublin.

The Masters Course in Environmental Sciences, Policy and Management Scholarships are provided by the European Union. Students develop research, communication and other professional skills, learn to orient themselves in European and worldwide networks of environmental institutions and elaborate relevant career objectives and strategies.

The Joint European Master in Space Science and Technology Scholarships are provided by the Erasmus Mundus Programme. The programme offers scholarships in Europe for non-EU students. Students from non-Eu countries can apply for a scholarship of 21 000 Euros per year.

Students from outside the European Union (third country students) can apply for Erasmus mundus Masters Course in Applied Ethics Scholarships. General requirements for admission to the programme are a Bachelor's degree, or a professional degree (equivalent) covering at least three years of study.

Monthly stipends range from approximately €715 to €795, depending on the level of academic advancement. The monthly stipend for artists and musicians is €715. In addition, DAAD will cover health insurance and and provide a flat rate subsidy for travel costs.

The competition will be open to all types of organizations (charitable organizations, private companies, or public entities) from all countries. Winners receive a cash prize of US $5,000.

The Swedish Institute offers Management of Logistics and Transportation Scholarships for study at Chalmers University of Technology Sweden. These grants are sufficient to cover living expenses while studying at Chalmers.

The Agris Mundus Master in Sustainable Development in Agriculture Scholarships are provided by the Erasmus Mundus programme of the European Union. The amount is 21000 Euros per year which should cover the living costs, transportation costs and subscription fees.

This EADB Graduate Scholarship in Development Studies programme offers three (3) scholarships each year. Each scholarship covers tuition fees, subsistence allowance, travel, and other related expenses. Successful applicants must study in an institution outside their country of origin.

The Swedish Institute offers a few Master of Science in Water Resources and Livelihood Security Scholarships to students from developing countries. Applicants must also prove that they have a very good command of English, both written and oral.

The Swedish Institute offers Electric Power Engineering Scholarships to foreign students of any nationality. These grants are sufficient to cover living expenses while studying at Chalmers University.

Applications are invited for internally funded PhD student fellowships at the FMI in Basel, Switzerland. Financial support is in accordance with the scale of the Swiss National Science Foundation. Your income will be generous relative to international standards for PhD students.

The University of Leeds is pleased to offer up to five full and up to three partial Maintenance Scholarships to successful applicants in the 2008 Overseas Research Students Awards Scheme (ORSAS) Competition. Two Rosalind Franklin Fellowships are available for talented female researchers. The fellowship, of at most five years, comprises a salary in the range of a university teacher, and a holiday allowance of 8%. The salary and the duration of the fellowship depend on experience and qualifications.

The Courage in Journalism Awards honor women working in the news media who have demonstrated extraordinary strength of character in pursuing their profession under difficult or dangerous circumstances. Each awardee will receive a cash award of at least $5,000.
