1. MBA Scholarship Competition, University of Rochester - USA University of Rochester welcomes you to the Simon School Business Simulation Scholarship Competition 2007. A Full Scholarship to the Simon Graduate School of Business at the University of Rochester (scholarship valued at over $70,000) is available.
University College London (UCL) and the Africa Educational Trust (AET) have agreed to collaborate in a scheme to enable students from Africa, who are financially unable to study in the UK, to pursue full-time undergraduate studies at UCL. Applicants must be a national of any African country (including Madagascar), currently living in an African country, and have one or both parents living in an African country, or are orphaned.
3. Institute for Humane Studies Scholarships Each year IHS awards over $400,000 in scholarships to students from universities around the world and sponsors the attendance of hundreds of students at its summer seminars and other educational programs. Scholarships of up to $12,000 are for undergraduate or graduate study in the United States or abroad. DAAD Scholarship Programmes have benefited hundreds of African students since inception. The ideal candidate has a bachelor degree first class honours or second class honours upper division.
The Institute for Humane Studies will award small grants to advanced students and recent graduates pursuing non-academic careers to help them take advantage of strategic short-term opportunities that can enhance their abilities and credentials to pursue careers that involve the communication of ideas. To qualify for consideration, applicant must have a clearly demonstrated interest in the "classical liberal" tradition of individual rights and market economies.
6. Masters and PhD Scholarships, Catholic Academic Exchange Service (KAAD) The Catholic Academic Exchange Service (KAAD) is a scholarship organization of the German Catholic Church that provides financial and civic educational support for high potential postgraduate scholars from Africa, Asia, Latin America and Eastern Europe. Applications for Master-programs in Germany will be considered primarily for candidates whose professional experience and objectives reveal that a Masters-degree, and not a Ph.D., is the final goal of their higher education ('terminal Master').
7. Dag Hammarskjöld Scholarship Fund Awards Fellowships The Dag Hammarskjöld Scholarship Fund accepts applications from journalists to cover the United Nations General Assembly beginning in September each year. Applicants must be full-time, professional journalists between 25 and 35 years old, be employed by a recognized print or broadcast media organization, and have a good working knowledge of English.
8. MSc in Computation Informatics Scholarships - UK University of Reading invites applications for the post of MSc in Computation Informatics Scholarships. Entrants to this programme are normally required to have obtained at least a 2.1 Honours Bachelors Degree in related fields.
9. Graduate Research Assistantship in Ecosystem change in the Arctic USDA Forest Service International Institute of Tropical Forestry (IITF) and the University of Puerto Rico - Ro Piedras Department of Biology invites applications for Graduate Research Assistantship in Ecosystem change in the Arctic. The ideal candidate has a proficiency and experience in identifying and keying plant species.
10. Rad University International Prize Competition RAD Data Communications has announced its first international prize competition for submissions. The competition is open to all communications, computer science and engineering students currently registered at an accredited university or college anywhere in the world.
11. Constance McCullough Award The Constance McCullough Award is awarded annually to assist a member of the International Reading Association in the investigation of reading-related problems and to encourage international professional development activities that are carried out in countries outside North America. It carries a monetary prize of US$5,000.
12. Graduate Scholarship for Non-Japanese Women to Study in Japan The NJG Program supports graduate study in Japan for non-Japanese women who are enrolled in graduate degree programs at Japanese universities. Applicants must be non-Japanese, non-permanent resident women who will be enrolled in a degree program with a graduate school of a Japanese university.
13. ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest ACM International Collegiate Programming contest pits teams of three university students against eight or more complex, real-world problems, with a grueling five-hour deadline. $10,000 scholarships is awarded to team members.
14. Developing Country Literacy Project Support Fund These awards are to International Reading Association members of the Association residing in developing countries who seek support for literacy projects in their own countries. Proposals must be postmarked by October 1, received by October 10.
15. Guaranteed Scholarships in Finance Students studying full-time toward a PhD in Finance at the University of Melbourne, Australia are guaranteed a minimum living stipend of A$18,660 (2006) per year. For international students, the Department of Finance also guarantees the payment of their University of Melbourne PhD tuition fees (A$23,520 per year in 2006).
16. Leiden University MA Scholarships - The Netherlands Leiden University offers a number of scholarships to excellent students (excluding students who are eligible for the "home fee"). All students with the a non-EU/EEA nationality are eligible.
17. Lindbergh Foundation Grants Program The Charles A. and Anne Morrow Lindbergh Foundation provides grants to men and women whose individual initiative and work in a wide spectrum of disciplines furthers the Lindberghs' vision of a balance between the advance of technology and the preservation of the natural/human environment. To date, 250 men and women in the United States and abroad have received more than $2.4 million to support their work.
18. Echoing Green Fellowship Program The Echoing Green Fellowship program was created to provide social entrepreneurs who have original and compelling ideas for driving social change with the tools and resources to start new autonomous public service projects or organizations. Grants are irrespective of citizenship and can be used for projects in Africa.
19. Woodrow Wilson Dissertation Fellowship in Women’s Studies The Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation's Women's Studies Fellowships support the final year of dissertation writing for Ph.D. candidates in the humanities and social sciences whose work addresses topics of women and gender in interdisciplinary and original ways. The application process for the Women's Studies Fellowship competition starts at the end of August every year.
20. PhD Scholarship Evolutionary Biology - Australia A PhD Scholarship is available in Steve Chenoweth's lab at the University of Queensland, Australia. All nationalities can apply. Applicants who are not Australian or New Zealand citizens or residents required to apply for a fee-waiver from the University.
21. PhD Studentships in Psychology, University of Birmingham in UK The School of Psychology, University of Birmingham, is offering up to 10 University and Research Council funded research studentships for students wishing to start a research degree in October. International students are eligible to be considered for these studentships.
22. PhD Scholarships at The Free University of Bozen Bolzano, Italy The Free University of Bozen-Bolzano announces a public competition, by examinations and/or qualifications, for admission to the following PhD Research Programmes of the 23rd cycle, academic year 2007/2008. Scientific areas include; INF 01 Computer science and ING-INF 05 Information Processing Systems.
23. PhD Scholarships in Economics - University of Milan, Italy The Graduate School in Social, Economic and Political Sciences, University of Milan offers a three-year PhD Scholarships in Economics. Scholarships (about Euros 10,000 per year) are available for EU and non-EU citizens.
24. Write on your PhD dissertation in Uppsala The Nordic Africa Institute, which encourages research and studies on Africa in the Nordic countries, invites applications for a couple of scholarships for a three months stay at the Institute to study at the Institute's library. The scholarship covers travelling expenses for a return fare from study/work place to Uppsala and accommodation in a shared apartment.
Applications for Ph.D. in Innovative Technologies are underway at Sant’Anna School for Advanced Studies of Pisa. The suitable candidate should possess a Master degree (or equivalent).
26. International PhD Program in Infectious Diseases and Immunology, Berlin Call for applications to the International PhD Program on Infectious Diseases and Immunology. This is a joint venture between the Max Planck Institute for Infection Biology, the Humboldt University Berlin, the Charité, the Free University Berlin and other research institutes. Students will investigate the biodiversity of infections including viruses, bacteria, protozoa and parasites.
27. Post-doctoral fellow-Reproductive Diversity-USA An NIH T32 training grant to Indiana University has an open line for a post-doctoral fellow and invites applications. Ph.D in biology, psychology, neuroscience, chemistry, gender studies or related field required.
