2. Undergraduate and Postgraduate Scholarships for African Students - University of Nottingham

Tuition Fee Scholarships are available for new students from Africa registering on Undergraduate or Taught Masters programmes at the University of Nottingham. Applicants must be classified as ‘overseas’ students for fees purposes and be applying to study full time.

3. National Geographic Society Young Explorer Grants

The National Geographic Society's Young Explorers Grants offer opportunities to individuals between the ages of 18 and 25 to pursue research, exploration, and conservation related projects.

4. International Youth Photography Competition - Shoot Nations 2007

Shoot Nations 2007 will award young photographers from around the world who submit images on the theme of governance. Submissions that address the theme of governance will be accepted.

5. International Competition of Wildlife & Nature Photography

The 11th international Photo Festival of Wildlife and Nature Photography will be held on 16-18 November 2007 in France. The competition is open to any individual amateur or professional photographer whatever their age or nationality.

The CPN Africa Project is pleased to announce that 8 fellowships are being offered to young African Scientists engaged in proposal writing. Funding is not restricted to citizens of the United States, and foreign nationals are invited to apply.

10. Faculty of Technology International Scholarships for Masters Courses, University of Plymouth, UK

The Faculty of Technology at University of Plymouth, UK operates an International Scholarship Scheme for self fee-paying students. The Scholarships are limited to those who would pay tuition fees at the overseas level, i.e. students who are not from the United Kingdom or the European Union.

11. Macquarie University International Scholarship, Undergraduate and Postgraduate Students, Australia

Macquarie University International Scholarships are available across most courses to cover international tuition fees for study on campus in an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree. You are eligible if you have achieved a minimum GPA of 3.0 (out of 4.0) for Postgraduate applications and minimum requirement of 90 (out of 100) for Undergraduate applications.

12. Medals for Research on Development

Global Development Network invites applications for Medals for Research on Development. Citizens and permanent residents of developing or transition countries or who are temporarily based in a developed country for no more than five years; staff of bilateral/multilateral agencies not eligible.

The Liverpool Law School offers four bursaries for students joining its taught LLM programme in autumn 2007. They are offered to encourage the best students, from the UK, Europe and Overseas, to join the School's expanding LLM programme.

15. The Hodgson Law Scholarships, LLM Scholarships, University of Liverpool UK

Applications are invited for the Hodgson Law Scholarships. Applicants must have completed or be in the final year of completion of a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent degree at Upper Second class.

16. Research Assistantship at Ghent University

The department plant systems biology at Ghent University has an opening for an ambitious and energetic Research Assistant in the new research group Plant Systems Modeling. The ideal candidate holds an MSc in applied mathematics, physics or computer science with interest and affinity for biology, or an MSc in Biology or Biotechnology with interest and affinity for numeric mathematics and computer science.

The Department of Archaeology, University of Durham, UK is offering a total of ELEVEN 'Fiftieth Anniversary Bursaries' to students joining their Taught Postgraduate Programmes this autumn. The eleven bursaries will comprise one-off payments of £2000 made at the commencement of the programme in October, to assist postgraduate students with their fees in 2007-8.
