1. International Essay Contest for Young People The United Nations has designated 2001-2010 as the "International Decade for a Culture of Peace and Non-Violence for the Children of the World." Essays may be submitted by anyone up to 25 years old in one of the following age categories; Children (ages up to 14) b) Youth (ages 15 - 25)
2. International Postgraduate Scholarships at Bristol University The International Postgraduate Scholarships at Bristol University are for taught Master's programmes only. Applicants must hold an offer for a Taught Postgraduate programme at the University of Bristol.
3. Entrepreneurial Manager Scholarships - IMBA Scholarships, Netherlands Nyenrode Business Universiteit has set up a full-tuition scholarships, intended for a students who would like to enroll in the International MBA (IMBA) program at Nyenrode Business Universiteit. Scholarships will only be awarded to those candidates being officially admitted to the 2007/2008 International MBA program.
4. MBA Scholarships - The Richard Metzler and Roland Berger AMCF Scholarships Applications are herby invited for the Richard Metzler and Roland Berger AMCF Scholarships. The candidate must evidence a commitment to pursuing a career in the field of management consulting.
The Indian Council for Cultural Relations on behalf Government of India offers scholarships and fellowships to international students wishing to study in India in various programs and disciplines. Scholarships are also available for research work and non-formal courses (Religion, Classical Music, Dance and Crafts). ICCR offers 1804 scholarships every year under its various scholarship schemes.
The International Finance Corporation of the World Bank Group (IFC) and the Financial Times (FT) are pleased to jointly announce their second annual IFC-FT Essay Competition. Six awards will be granted to the top papers as judged by the Awards Committee.
7. Highway Africa conference 2007 Highway Africa is an annual ICT conference hosted by Rhodes University which is situated in Grahamstown, South Africa. Currently, Highway Africa has a limited number of scholarships for practising African journalists.
8. MasterCard-U21Global Scholarship Program to Empower Women in Travel and Tourism MasterCard Worldwide and U21Global have launched the second year of the MasterCard-U21Global scholarship program for women in travel and tourism. Organizations from the travel and tourism industry across Asia Pacific, the Middle East and Africa will be invited to nominate female employees who they believe will most benefit from the learning and exposure offered by such a scholarship.
9. Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts - Nebraska City, Nebraska The Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts in Nebraska City, Nebraska, offers two- to eight-week residencies year-round for writers, visual artists, and music composers. The program provides housing, studio space, and a $100/week stipend.
10. International Residence at Couvent des Recolletes Paris, France Applications are invited for International Residence at Couvent des Recolletes Paris , France . A 1500 € monthly allowance is allocated by the ministry of Foreign Affairs to support the artists' projects, and an assurance in case of illness during the stay.
11. United States Institute of Peace Senior Fellowships The Jennings Randolph Program for International Peace awards Senior Fellowships to enable outstanding scholars, policy makers, journalists, and other professionals from around the world to conduct research at the U.S. Institute of Peace. The program attempts to match the recipient's earned income during the year preceding the fellowship, up to a maximum of $80,000 for ten months.

Tourism Cares Offers Worldwide Grant Program Tourism Cares administers the Worldwide Grant Program to support worthy tourism-related nonprofit organizations working to preserve, conserve, and restore the world's natural, cultural, and historic treasures. Based on merit and availability of funds, grants of up to $100,000 each will be considered.
13. PhD Scholarship at Macquarie University Two PhD scholarships are available in Ecological Modelling at Macquarie University. Candidates should have a background in one or more of the following areas: plant physiology, ecology, pure or applied mathematics, physics or statistics.
14 PhD Position - Biogeochemistry A position leading to a PhD Degree is available for a highly-motivated student, devoted to productive scholarship, to conduct research on river ecology and biogeochemistry. M.S. degree required, with a thesis topic that addressed some aspect of riparian or stream ecology/biogeochemistry.
Applications are invited for a Lord Kelvin/Adam Smith PhD Scholarship in Stochastic Process Algebra Modelling at University of Glasgow, UK. The studentship is suitable for candidates with a good first degree (or Masters) in Computing Science or Mathematics.
16. PhD Positions in Economics/Econometrics, Louis Pasteur University - France The Faculty of Economics and Management at Louis Pasteur University (ULP) has a vacant PhD position - it is full time and open to external candidates. PhD Scholarships at Jena Graduate Academy - Germany The Universität Jena and the Max Planck Institute of Economics in Jena offer a DFG sponsored PhD Program in Economics to currently 32 outstanding young graduates on a full time basis. Applications are welcome from outstanding students who own a Diploma, Master, or equivalent in economics or related fields. The scholarships are kept open until suitable candidates are found.

PhD Studentship in Image Processing and Imaging Sciences, King’s College London, UK Applications are invited for a PhD studentship in Image Processing within the Interdisciplinary Medical Imaging Group (IMIG), part of the Division of Imaging Sciences at King’s College London. Applicants should have a first or upper second degree in a numerate discipline (e.g. computer science, mathematics, physics) and have experience in computer programming (ideally in computer vision or image processing).

Radboud University Nijmegen (NL) seeks an outstanding PhD-student for a project investigating the relationship between human working and long-term memory. Applicants with a background in cognitive psychology or physiology background are encouraged to apply.
26. PhD Position in XFEM-Simulation for Fluids, Aachen University - Germany A PhD position is available at Aachen University from July 1st, 2007. A thorough knowledge of the classical finite element method (FEM) is required, and experience in computational fluid dynamics is preferred.

Macquarie University Research Excellence (MQRES) PhD Scholarship in Cultural Economics A Macquarie University Research Excellence PhD scholarship is available in the Department of Economics in the field of cultural economics. The Division of Economic and Financial Studies will top-up the stipend to a maximum $A32,500 per annum for the successful applicant.

Postgraduate Scholarships in Environmental Protection, Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt - Germany The Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt has established a German scholarship programme to promote promising young scientists in the field of environmental protection. Particularly excluded is financial backing for: Dissertations (submitted for a diploma), Doctoral or PhD thesis’ in progress, Travelling expenses for research stays in Germany or foreign countries among others.

PhD and Postdoc Scholarship, University of Queensland Social Research Centre University of Queensland Social Research Centre is offering two PhD scholarships in overseas policing operations and a PhD Scholarship in Applied Statistics. The Scholarship is valued at A$25,000 per annum tax exempt for a period of 3 years with a possible extension of six months.
One National Research Foundation (NRF) scholarship is on offer for three years doctoral research in the School of Politics, University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN), Durban, South Africa. The successful candidate will receive R45,000 per annum, which is sufficient to cover university and living expenses in South Africa, and this can be supplemented by employment within the School of Politics.
