Scholarships & Grants 1. OFID's Scholarship Award 2007 The OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID) is pleased to announce its Scholarship Award to support undergraduate students from developing countries in pursuit of higher education. 2. LLM in Human Rights Law Scholarships (University of Ulster, Ireland - 2007-2008) There are a small number of scholarships available for exceptional candidates and international students are strongly encouraged to apply. 3. Morris Animal Foundation Scholarships This program gives veterinary student an opportunity students an opportunity to become involved in veterinary research targeted at enhancing the health and welfare of companion animals and wildlife and wildlife or special species. 4. ISM Scholarship Programme - Tanzania The scholarship is aimed at students in selected Government Secondary Schools in the Kilimanjaro and Arusha regions. 5. International Student Graduate Scholarships at Georgia College To be considered for the IGA, applicants must have on file a completed application for admission and completed IGA application by the stated deadline. 6. The Google 2007 Anita Borg Scholarship - US As part of Google's ongoing commitment to furthering Anita's vision, we are pleased to announce the 2007 Google Anita Borg Scholarship, through which we hope to encourage women to excel in computing and technology and become active role models and leaders. 7. Master Scholarships from The Department of Economics at the University of Essex The Department of Economics at the University of Essex is pleased to announce that four scholarships, each worth £5,000, will be awarded to full-time students who will be enrolled for an MSc programme in the Department of Economics for the academic year 2007-2008. 8. MSc by Research Abbey Corrugated and Cranfield University are undertaking this collaborative research project following the success of a previous MSc research project, which involved the development of a Full Pallet System for the sheet feeding industry. 9. Davis scholarships at Graduate Institute for International Studies - Geneva, Switzerland Two of these grants (Kathryn Davis Grant and Shelby Cullom Davis Grant) are intended for students of any nationality having completed a course of studies in an American university, two other grants (Davis Grants) are intended for two Muslim students. 10. PhD Studentship in Oral Health Research Applications are invited for a mathematically minded individual to undertake research leading to a PhD in the area of Statistical Methods in Longitudinal Studies Applied to Oral Health Research under the supervision of Dr. Nora Donaldson and Professor Tim Newton. 11. PhD Student Position in Ultra Wideband Communication The student will participate in developing new transmission techniques for high speed short range UWB communication systems. 12. PhD Studentship in Cellular Immunology of Parastic Infections The project has strong international links and will be carrying out population studies in Indonesia, Gabon and Ghana. 13. PhD Studentships at Institute of Advanced Telecommunications IAT is currently seeking a number of ambitious overseas PhD students to perform research in these areas. Candidates should have, or be about to receive, an honours degree (at least II.1 or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related discipline. 14. PhD at the Child and Family Research Centre - National University of Ireland The Child and Family Research Centre is pleased to offer four postgraduate Fellowships to support Ph.D. level research as part of the work of the centre. 15. PhD Studentship in Novel Microscopy Techniques Applicants should have a first class degree (or equivalent) in biophysics, physics, optical engineering or other relevant disciplines, excellent communication skills and a desire to work in a multidisciplinary research team involving physicists and biologists. 16. PhD Studentships in Advance Telecommunications - University of Wales IAT is currently seeking a number of ambitious overseas PhD students to perform research in these areas. 17.
