Advance Africa Interns/Volunteers

Advance Africa has a vacancy for 1 intern based in Nairobi, Kenya.

The program targets students in their college, or undergraduate studies.

You will be exposed to research, problem solving, web design and familiarize yourself with the opportunities that exist online.

You must be extremely responsible and self-motivated. You also need to be available immediately and on a full time basis for at least 3 months. An obsessive attention to detail is required. A geekish enthusiasm for all things technical will be important.

Candidates with ability to hand-code HTML, understanding of CSS, experience designing web pages or web page elements (such as buttons, animated gifs, etc.), experience using Photoshop, know how to FTP files etc will have an advantage.

However, a proactive attitude, and an interest in learning more about web design and development in general is more important.

Self-motivation, attention to detail and ability to follow directions and to meet deadlines are very important. A good business manner and professional attitude is imperative. You must be very professional, dependable, and accessible via phone and email.

For competitive consideration, let us know about anything else that might catch our attention.

Basically, we are looking for forward-thinking perfectionists, who enjoy their work, research art, design, and website building. Our organization is growing and we are looking for people who want to grow with us.

Duties include online research, ongoing website maintenance, design of web pages and web page elements. You will have the opportunity to do a variety of work and get hands-on experience in different tasks.

If interested, please email your CV and cover letter to joe@advance-africa.com with "Advance Africa Interns/Volunteers" on the subject line.
