APHRC Jobs: The African Population and Health Research Center (APHRC) is a non-profit, non-governmental international organization committed to conducting high quality and policy-relevant research on population and health issues facing sub-Saharan Africa. The Center seeks to recruit a highly qualified candidate to fill the position of: 1. Post-Doctoral Fellow Qualifications: PhD in Sociology, Demography, Public Health or a related discipline, with interest in SRHR in sub-Saharan Africa in general, and Kenya in particular;Good writing skills and record of publications on population and SRHR;Mix of quantitative and qualitative research skills;Familiarity with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Statistical Packages (e.g. STATA, SPSS) and qualitative data analysis software (e.g. NUDIST).Deadline: July 15. Program Manager Qualifications: PhD-level training in a relevant social or health science discipline including Population Studies, Public Health, Policy Studies, Sociology, Education Administration or other related fields.A minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible experience in an academic or research institution. Fluency in oral and written English is required. Working knowledge of French is an asset.Some level of familiarity with economics, econometrics and impact evaluation.Able to work in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment.Experience working with donors, university academics, graduate students and top university administrators at various levels, including the Vice Chancellor.Deadline: open until filled.
