Position: Stand By Housekeeper Direct Hierarchy: HR/ Admin Officer. Duty Station: Nairobi Starting Date: July 2012 ACTED is a non-governmental organization whose vocation is to support vulnerable population worldwide and to accompany them in building a better future. ACTED was created in 1993, is governed by the French law and has its headquarters in Paris, France. Based in Nairobi and reporting to Capital HR/ ADM Officer, her duties will include: To keep the entire office clean.Prepare and serve tea and meals to the staff when needed.Ensure that cleaning items are replaced on a timely basisClean washroomsKeep the yard cleanTo keep the guest house clean and presentable including cleaning of all bedrooms, making the beds and changing bed linen for guests.Grocery shopping when required.Ensure the guest house supplies for meal preparation are purchased on time.Wash clothes, towels, curtains, etc.;Iron all the washed clothes and distribute them to the roomsAny other duty as assigned by the line manager.Qualifications O Level with a minimum of C minusA certificate in Housekeeping or related course.Must have experience in housekeepingHaving been trained as a cateress will be an added advantage.Able to communicate adequately in English or KiswahiliHas excellent attendance and positive attitude to the jobMust be honest.Application Procedures Interested persons with the required skills are invited to send their resumes to nairobi.jobs [at] acted.org or submit hard copies of certificates, detailed curriculum vitae, three referees and contacts to ACTED Nairobi Offices located at Chania Avenue, off Marcas Garvey road, behind Yaya Centre- Kilimani on or before July 2012. Position: Area Fleet and Asset Officer Contract duration: Open Ended Duty Station: Maralal, Kenya The Duties Include: Organize the allocation and daily availability of vehicles;Establish tools for vehicles follow-up: log books, technical check-ups etc.Calculate and check the monthly cost of each vehicle (fuel consumption, repairs) in coordination with the CFOTo ensure proper utilization, maintenance and Follow up of the ACTED fleet (planning, driver’s training…).To control and manage the cost of the fleet (fuel, maintenance and repair)Organize the installation of computing hardware and software (computers, printers, scanners, photocopiers, Network systems);Organize the installation of communication equipment: telephones, HF and VHF radios;Ensure the maintenance and undertake a monthly inventory of communication equipment;Calculate and check the monthly communication cost of each base (telephones, e-mail,Organize the installation of equipment: generators, solar panels etc;Train staff in the operation of such equipments;Qualifications/Skills Required Bachelors Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related from a recognized Institution4 years experience in logistics sector and at least 2 years in fleet management.Computer literate and with excellent I T Knowledge.Valid driving licence and certificate of Good conductDemonstrated experience in overall responsibility and accountability for the logistical Management of an organization;Good public Relations with strong negotiation skills.Application Procedures Qualified candidates are invited to send their CV, cover letter, academic documents and telephone numbers of three professional referees to: ACTED Kenya Office, P.O.
