The School of Law is delighted to announce the creation of new scholarships open to international students joining the Leicester LLM programme from the academic year 2009.
These awards will help us to continue to attract international postgraduate law students of the highest caliber who form a central part of the School's cosmopolitan and dynamic environment.
Three entry scholarships of £1,500 each, which will take the form of a fee reduction, will be open to international students required to pay overseas student fees entering the campus-based LLM programme.
The winners of these competitive awards will be chosen on merit by a committee consisting of the Course Director and Deputy Course Director of the LLM programme, and the Postgraduate Sub-Dean.
Applicants must be intending to follow a full-time taught postgraduate degree programme in the School of Law, and must be classified as overseas students for fees purposes.
How To Apply:
Complete the application form, making sure that you answer all the questions.
Make sure that you include all relevant information even if it has already been submitted with your application for a place at the University. If an award is made to you, the University may require evidence in the form of course transcripts, class lists, references, etc., to support all the statements that you have made.
A transcript, in English, of your most recent course may also be submitted if available, but no other papers will be considered except the application form including your personal statement.
Include with your application a copy of your offer letter from the Graduate Office.
Applicants who do not include this letter will not be considered.
Only successful candidates will be contacted. If you do not hear from the University, you should assume that your application has not been successful and that you have not been selected for an award.
Only applicants who have accepted offers by 31st July can be considered for the award, so time is of the essence for those who are interested in applying.
